Cooking up an Effortless Life

As the season of giving quickly approaches, and plans for dinners, parties and open houses become the focus of our attention, if you are anything like me, you’re starting to feel a little frantic about all that still needs to be done to make this Christmas season as memorable as ever.

Recently, as I combed through my 5th cookbook looking for recipes for the "perfect" party food, I had a fleeting thought about how great it would be if I could plan and execute this holiday season in a way that would leave me feeling calm, relaxed and content, no matter how things turned out. What I needed was a recipe for cooking up an effortless life.

I figured that if such a recipe existed the ingredients might include:

Ingredients

1 cup: Describe the life you want to live (Be very specific)
3 tbls: Belief in the possibility of living that life
¼ cup: Taking Action with Focus
A dash: Knowing and using your strengths
Pinch: Determination
Splash: Avoiding distraction
A hearty dose: Grace when things don’t go quite the way you planned
½ tsp: Be willing to try again
Liberal amounts of:
Be guided by your intuition
Being Optimistic
Trust
Instructions

Combine the first four ingredients.
Slowly fold in the remaining ingredients (except the last one).
The last ingredient has a big impact on results, so be very generous with its application.
Authors Note:
