RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS
It’ll be November in a couple of days and I know some of you have already started to think seriously about what to buy for family and friends for Christmas. Well, before you start making your lists and checking them twice, how about joining me in making November a Random Act of Kindness month?
This is the perfect prelude to Christmas - your chance to do small but significant things for others - not because they expect it, but because you spontaneously decided to.
By turning up your generosity dial I guarantee that you will you feel great, and you’ll be surprised at all the great things that happen to you along the way.
Here are a few random ideas to stimulate your thinking:
If someone you work with does a great job, send them a complimentary email and copy their boss
Put a quarter in an expired parking meter
Bring muffins/fruit to work
Pay a genuine compliment to one of your colleagues
Tell your kids how great they are by leaving a note in their lunch bag
Leave an “I’m thinking about you” note in your spouse/significant others briefcase/purse.
Send your mom flowers - just because
Send your student sibling/child Starbucks gift certificates – anonymously
Whether you act or think generously, your Random Act of Kindness will add to the sum of human happiness.
