Balance - What are you doing about it?
The happiest people I know are those who have figured out that a great life is a balanced life. They know what is important to them and their values are integral to everything they do.
In February we looked at Living Life by Design. This month we’ll continue that theme by challenging you to do something about any imbalances in your life.
If you took our values test last month, you now have a list of the top five things that are important to you. Ensuring that you honor your values is key to improving the quality of your life experience.
If, for example, you identified health as one of your highest priorities, yet you don’t exercise, or eat well balanced meals, you may well begin to understand why you lack energy and feel “blah” much of the time. Do poor health habits impact other areas of your life? If so, what are you going to do about it?
For many, family is a high priority, and yet work and other commitments consume most of their free time. Subconsciously they are stressed and guilt-ridden. Could those feelings affect the quality of their lives?
Look at your values. Commit to doing one thing every day that brings you into alignment with what you say is important. Living a Life by Design means you understand what it takes to feel balance, and you are willing to do what it takes to bring balance to your life.
